Anniversary Project

At the Jan 2010 monthly meeting members
approved the $35,000 budget needed for our
"75th Anniversary Project". We plan to replace
the existing benches with Teak benches, replant
the embankment defined
by the sitting wall with drought tolerant, low
maintenance, hybridized natives. And the chain
link fence will also be replaced with 48"
bronze aluminum coated fence to bring the
fence up to code, meeting homeland security
standards. The old fence will be recycled. In a
nutshell we will: recycle, restore, and renew the
ferry boat landing an area we have taken
stewardship of since 1999.
