GCA's Visiting Gardens:
South Africa

Visiting Gardens trip
to South Africa,
October 29 to November 13, 2009,
is almost sold  out! See the best of
South Africa, from Cape Town, to the
Wine Country, with a safari
as a grand finale.  Room for six more
in double rooms.
Husbands most welcome!
Locally, a visit to Santa Fe in July, in
time for a major Crafts Fair to mix in
with your gardens,
has a few spaces left.
In 2010, trips to Santa Barbara in April
and St. Louis-Chicago via private rail
cars in June are in the
works.  Interested?  Sign up on the
Interest List (no obligation, but a
week's advance notice) handled by VG
Vice Chair Emmy Winburn,
emmywinburn@gmail.com.
Specifics on all of the above on the
GCA web site.
Saving the best for last:  Green Fingers'
own spectacular trip to Wilmington this
June 22 to 25, (see blue box on right
side of this page) with more
exciting gardens and visits being added
daily.  Don't miss this very
special insiders' tour.  Again, husbands
will be treated royally!

Feel like poking around the internet
instead of the garden?
Check out these blogs:
Eden Makers
If you've watched Shirley Bovshow on
HGTV's "Garden Police" and wanted
her makeover advice without the
embarrassment of seeing her pull into
your diveway for committing crimes
against your landscape, you can check
out her blog without fear.

Garden Ideas
More of a magazine than a personal
blog. It's well laid out with lots of
magazine quality graphics and a great
cross section of plant and design
information.

and the best, in my humble opinion:
Garden Rant
These 4 women are "convinced that
gardening matters". They have articles,
links, reviews, commentary, and their
own blogs, one of which is called
"Gardening While Intoxicated".

Gardens Events is an
