Nell Otto wowed the Flower Arranging Committee on Jan. 22nd with a fabulous presentation
– CHIC, CHEAP AND COOL –
where to find just about anything to make flower, table and yes, even bathroom arrangements.
Perched on a small stage in her living room, she ran through an hour of slides which demonstrated that
being fun and creative is what it’s all about.
AND, being the pro that she is, all of us received a three-page list of all her sources as well as the best
web sites and books. This super document will be on the Flower Arranging page of our web site.
The meeting ended with a bang or shall I say, a tasty sip.
Nell actually had multiple bottles of Italian champagne, Prosecco, and showed how to add different
flavors – such as peach nectar and raspberries - to make the drink really special.
Of course, she insisted we all have a sample and of course, we did.
Here are a few examples of her creativity…
- Put fake flowers in a vase full of water. They look real.
- Use Burlap tablecloths. You can buy the cloth at McArdles.
- Make your own napkin rings on your computer using colored paper.
- Consider having games at your next party. Check out Turkey Trivia for Thanksgiving.
